Carty Brown, guitarist / composer was born and raised in Philadelphia. He began playing guitar when he was 14. His talent led him to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied composition. He also studied with the legendary guitarist Pat Martino. He was encouraged to create his own vision of his music.

Carty has been the founder and leader of several original bands throughout his career, showcasing his unique writing and performance style. His bands played in original music venues in Philadelphia, NJ, and Greenwich Village.

Gaining attention in Glenside for his unique style of performance on acoustic guitar, Saturdays, at Elcy’s Café. Carty performs some familiar songs which are classics in his own style, along with his original music which will trigger your imagination in an unforgettable way.
